About the web site creators

Web site team members Jan Gliozzo, Matt Graham, and Yolanda Kobayashi are San Francisco Bay Area educators. Carolyn Alley is a free-lance artist living in the Sacramento Valley. Jan, Matt and Yolanda are ThinkQuest for Tomorrow's Teachers Platinum award winners. They won the national award for best web site by grade group in 1999 for their web site, "By the Great Hornspoon, a Gold Rush Adventure". Carolyn was a contributing artist for that site.

Short Biographies

Carolyn is a free-lance illustrator and photographer living in Rocklin, California. She received her degrees in fine art and in art history from San Jose State University. Mother of four, she has been an art educator for many years and website coach working with young adults. She is currently completing a certificate in multimedia and graphic arts from U.C. Davis.

Jan Gliozzo teachers 5th grade at the Moreland Discovery School in San Jose. She also trains teachers in her district to use technology in the classroom through the Intel "Teach to the Future" program. Learn more about her classroom projects and favorite links at the Room 16 class page.

Matt is a technology grant coordinator for the Hayward Unified School District and also serves as district webmaster. He has produced several educational and commercial web sites. A graduate of U.C. Davis and St. Mary's School of Education, Matt is a K-12 teacher and certified online teaching and learning specialist, currently finishing his Master's Degree in Online Teaching and Learning at Hayward State University.

Yolanda Kobayashi teaches 4th grade at Longwood Elementary School in Hayward.
