Description: This student project outlines the history and evolution of political campaigns and presidential elections in America since Andrew Jackson. The student researchers found that very often the forces behind politics were rooted in particular personalities, or in grassroots movements. Though these movements changed and evolved over time, they often had tremendous impact on history. Standards 12.6.1, 12.6.2, 12.6.3 and 12.6.4 civics

Comments: As with all ThinkQuest projects, the research must not be considered authoritative. This site, however, was reviewed by UC Irvine professors and found to be exemplary.
