Pages of the Past: History/Social Science Literature K-6

In 2001, the California County Offices of Education History-Social Science Committee developed a document called Pages of the Past which aligned 1800 pieces of children's literature to the History/Social Science Standards. This 263-page document had an annotated entry with the title, author, description, and publisher information for each book.

This document is no longer in print; however, below you may browse in various ways the database of books from which Pages of the Past was developed. This will be an ongoing project, so new books will be added continuously, and out-of-print materials deleted. (See also Tales of Time: History/Social Science Literature 7-9.
